I am a hothouse flower that can't survive outside a minimal range of climates. I am not a happy camper if the temperature drops below 60 degrees or rises above 75 degrees. Therefore, my favorite times to travel are Spring and Autumn. Ah, springtime—the Earth stirs awake, lovers hold hands, and the skies appear slightly bluer. Did winter have you bogged down in sweaters and fuzzy blankets, dreaming of sunny days? Well, now is the moment to trade frost for flowers. Whether planning a grand adventure or craving a soft, sunshine-kissed beach, you are bound to escape the doldrums of winter in one of these nine dreamy Spring getaways that practically write their love story.

Kyoto, Japan:

Cherry Blossoms, Kimonos & Teahouses

Spring in Japan is iconic and my favorite time to visit. I promise pictures don't do it justice. In April, Kyoto is full of main character energy. Cherry blossoms blush in full bloom, ancient temples glisten under pink petals, and couples wander hand-in-hand through dreamy gardens. It's like walking through a watercolor painting...better because there's sushi.

Paris, France:

Springtime in Paris Isn't a Cliché. It's a Calling

I fell in love for the first time when I was 15 with a Parisien named Louis; I'm a sucker for a guy with a cute accent, which is why I married a Brit. While my infatuation with the boy burned bright for two weeks, my adoration for The City of Light has never waned. Paris is downright flirtatious in the Spring—think riverside picnics with fresh baguettes and strawberries, quiet kisses beneath flowering chestnut trees, and terrace cafés filled with soft jazz and sweet rosé. Très romantique!

Charleston, South Carolina:

Southern Charm Meets Blossoms in Bloom

Charleston, South Carolina, holds a special place in my heart. It was the destination my hubby and I chose for our very first trip together. The bursting azaleas, the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages, and the pastel houses peeking through Spanish moss make Charleston in Spring a place of comfort, charm, and easy love.

The Amalfi Coast, Italy:

Limoncello, Seaside Cliffs & Yachts

When visiting the Amalfi Coast in April and May, you'll experience the perfect blend of sunshine, romance, and lemon-scented air. The absence of summer crowds allows you to immerse yourself fully in this coastal paradise's beauty. Stay in Positano, cruise to Capri, and indulge in the local cuisine, including Naples' iconic pizza.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Tulips, Canals & Bikes.

Amsterdam has always captivated me. I worked as a florist in college, and tulips are my favorite flowers. Keukenhof Gardens became a rainbow dream in April. The entire city smells like flowers and fresh beginnings. Rent bikes, kiss on bridges, and cruise the canals at golden hour. It's giving Wes Anderson, in the best way.

Seville, Spain

Flamenco, Festivals & Orange Blossoms.

April in Seville means Feria de Abril, a city-wide party with dancing, music, tapas, and energy that could spark a thousand love stories. Sunsets here feel like an embrace—and every street corner holds a moment worth remembering.

Washington, D.C.

Cherries, History, & Political Intrigue

The cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin? Iconic. Visit in late March to early April for peak bloom. Pack a picnic, rent a paddleboat, and witness the capital in her prettiest pastel dress. I haven't been to D.C., but we are planning a trip this summer to take the boys too check out the museums. I will report back then.

Santorini, Greece

Whitewashed Cliffs, Sapphire Seas & Serenity.

Santorini is my favorite place on Earth. I would be there right now if I didn't need to work. Spring in Santorini means fewer crowds, perfect weather, and sunsets that feel like poetry. Wander through Oia's winding alleys, sip wine in Pyrgos, and let time slow down. It's your rom-com—set on an island made of dreams.

Madeira, Portugal

Island of Eternal Spring

Floating in the Atlantic like a secret garden, Madeira is lush, floral, and wildly underrated. Hike through levadas, soak in natural lava pools, and toast with poncha as dolphins dance along the shore. Spring? She's thriving here.

Ready to shake off winter and step into something soft, bright, and love-drenched? Let's tailor a spring escape that blooms with your story. I'll make every detail—whispered vows on a cliffside, a surprise spa night in a vineyard, or just a week of lazy breakfasts and good books—magic.
